**Darda** /'dɑrdə/ was a confederation of several countries which existed for a period of 5 centuries between 14th and 19th CSR, and throughout its history held a dominant position in the north central region of the [[Continent]], competing with [[Yammoe]] for influence in the [[Eastern Dantrian civilization]].

The confederation was established as a way to defend and expand the [[New Dawn]].

===== Etymology =====

"Darda" means "hope" in [[Thonthal]], but as the word is pronounced without the second d and the second is pronounced in Darda, it's a play on the word "hope".
