A circle is a geometric shape invented by Trotto Frekkensnork. Although the circle has been known since before the beginning of recorded history, she claims to have invented it independently at the age of 5.
According to Frekkensnork's friends and family, the house she was raised in generally lacked curves. Typical shapes she would be exposed to were squares, triangles, rectangles and diamonds. The girl then drew a circle on a piece of paper.
Slow Club argues that the claim “the circle has been known since before the beginning of recorded history” is problematic.
“If there was no recorded history, how would we know?” - asks J. N. Spoilsport. - “Seeing something shaped as a circle by ancient people does not mean they actually thought about it as a circle. Just like when you are peeing, you are not thinking about the experience in terms of fluid mechanics!”
