Dantrian calendar is the most used calendar on the Continent. It was established over a thousand years ago by the Western Dantrian Civilization.

Based on the idea of the spiral of history, the calendar establishes “revolutions” of the spiral to be 2000 years long. The current revolution is third. Recorded history, thus, begins over 4000 years ago.

Dates span from 0-1999 and are written down as 863 FR, which would stand for “first revolution”. Centuries are abbreviated as “CFR”, “CSR”, etc. So, the current century is 11 CTR, which stands for “century of a third revolution”.

An alternative calendar which counts absolute years, as opposed to periods of 2000 years, has been in use in the east up until War.
