Awk Sea

Awk Sea is an ahldoraean sea, located between Ybuwyn and Nuht island.

Awk Sea is very calm and storms seldom happen, but due to the lack of strong winds it is almost impossible to travel through it by sail. In Ybuwyn mythology Awk Sea is frequently compared to a giant mirror.

Awk Sea plays a large role in the myths of the nuhtbee. It stands between Nuht island and the Continent, which is called Far Shore and is considered to be unreachable and “only a place of fantasy”. Many stories revolve around travelers from Nuht island arriving at the Far Shore and having incredible adventures on the Continent.

According to the myths of both countries, Awk Sea is governed by The Dolphin Almaus, a giant speaking fish which has superhero abilities. Several stories revolve around travelers encountering The Dolphin Almaus and having to convince him to let them through.
