+Drufos claimed to have been born in Tarif and frequently told stories about his life in Tarif. In spite of this, all available records only document his life in Garon.
+According to Drufos, he arrived to Garon, having escaped the boring life of his wealthy family in Tarif. He then began living a challenging life of poverty on the streets of the city and became known as a poet and storyteller. The themes of his stories focused on the glory of the old kings, on the restoration of their power and a return to a traditional way of life.
+He became a popular figure in the opposition movement, which saw [[Mardis]] as the leader of the insurrection against [[Rufu Aoa]]. Mardis was largely considered an illegitimate ruler outside of Ari. When Drufos claimed to have come from a noble family in Tarif, he became one of the contenders to the throne, someone who would put an end to the civil war.
