Hypothetical Game Review

Hypothetical Game Review is an imagined magazine that provides game reviews. When a game developer is working on a game and imagines what the press will say, it's published in this magazine.

Hypothetical Game Review has been established in the early 1950s. Since then its main reviewers have been Matt and Ralf, with occasional retorts from their boss Tom Higgins.

Matt is known to be extremely harsh in his commentary and pulls no punches. His usual review scores are 0/5, 1/5 and 1.6/5.

Ralf is incredibly agreeable, rarely commits things to writing and is usually quoted as having said something. He always tries to give the game the benefit of the doubt, but always ends up saying something passive-aggressive about its author.
