Nonprofit Rubber Production Factory

An abandoned NRPF in Wuhai

A nonprofit rubber production factory (often abbreviated as NRPF) is a type of venture devised by Bart Hufnagel.

NRPFs produce high quality or low quality rubber, depending on the circumstances. Since NRPFs are structured as a business, but are nonprofit, they thus come with an inbuilt genetic error that invariably leads to the whole enterprise failing very quickly.

Hufnagel has opened around 13 factories in different countries in the mid 2000s, after which they went bankrupt within a year or two, and were subsequently closed. Several tourist companies offer guided tours to the abandoned factory in Wuhai.
