Tanira was a superhero warrior who lived in Afanyu. He was born somewhere in the 20s of 19th CSR and died in 1889 SR.
There are no reliable sources to corroborate the story, but it is traditionally told in the genre of the underdog narrative.
With great pride, Tanira's family presented him to the ruler of the kingdom. His ability, however, seemed quite useless, since the ruler of the kingdom hoped that a superhero warrior would help her gain an upper hand. Tanira was put in jail, but he got out the next day, by lifting up one of the walls of the cell and walking out.
That gave him an idea and he went back to the ruler and convinced her that he could become an architect and make the kingdom legendary.
This story is unlikely to be true. Most probably, Tanira's abilities for simply unfit for combat and he probably was never presented to anyone as a warrior, but instead just started working as an architect at an early age.
He began to work on several projects in a region that would later become the Upper Kingdom. His floating castles and towers became known across Darda and northern Tarnaria.
Tanira did not work alone. While described as being talented, he worked with many other architects, for whom he would just build the stones. Unfortunately, there is no information on the authorship of the surviving Afanyu buildings, and a lot of them are assumed to have been created by Tanira.
Tanira died a famous and respected person. Unfortunately, most of his work was destroyed by the forces of Potus Aylis in a six-year war. Loodonians' justification for the invasion was that they were denied any more stones, due to the fact that Tanira was no longer alive to produce them and the Upper Kingdom refused to take the stones out of its own buildings.
An estimated thousand afanyu stones are still in existence, including in several of the structures left from Afanyu, in the Temple of Gods of Mercy and in private collections.
