The Cave is a website which harbors a vibrant community of like-minded people. The website is difficult to reach, because it is online only three random hours per year.

The idea that people have to use their intuition to tune into the website has backfired, and made nerds all over the world create monitoring systems that would track The Cave's online status. According to site statistics, when the website goes online, around 15,000 people log in.

Each appearance of the site triggers The Cave Afterparty, a lavish and impossibly grand festival across the globe, celebrated by people in their kitchens, typically with pizza and Netflix.

The website features a forum, a picture gallery, The Impossible Shop and a news blog.

A number of mirror communities have emerged, Teh Cave being the most prominent. Since Teh Cave initially vouched to be even more secretive that the original community, it was decided to conceal the true URL of Teh Cave. Administrators have also pledged to keep the site permanently offline for further secrecy. Because of this, the exact number of Teh Cave members is unknown, but is estimated at around 0.
