The Tomato City is an unwritten novel by Louigi Verona. It is about a city, which occupies an island, surrounded by a violent stream loop that prevents easy access to it. The city is known to have a lot of vegetation, but no tomatoes, as something in the soil prevents them to be grown.

The story revolves around two merchant gangs that try to make a fortune delivering tomatoes to the city, with an innocent protagonist getting involuntarily involved. The protagonist uses a tunnel, typically used by the laundry to transport clothing from and on the island, to get into the city.

The story is full of romance and swashbuckling adventure.
