Xornerian
Xornerian /zɔr'nɛriən/ was a country situated in the northern part of the central Continent, to the west of Tarnaria, with access to the Ge and Kost seas.
Founded by the philosopher Koligaree, Xornerian was the first xorner of the Eastern Dantrian Civilization.
For around a 100 years it boasted a relatively high level of economic prosperity due to its location and natural resources. With time, however, corruption and the growth of wealth inequality led to a number of riots that eventually evolved into a decade-long civil war. The country was then subject to an aggressive conquest from Kareden armies, which, coupled with betrayal from Yammoe, led to the country being conquered and becoming part of the Kingdom of Mamkoon.
Early on Xornerian received political and financial support from Puhntuss. Yammoean influence grew with time, to the point that some researchers regard Xornerian as a Yammoe puppet state, which it used in its fight for influence in the north against Darda.

Etymology
“Xornerian” means “aspiring to be xorner”, referring to Koligaree's political philosophy. The literal meaning of “xorner” is “a small river destined to grow”, which makes the literal reading of “xornerian” to be “aspiring to be a small river destined to grow”.
