Xornerian
Xornerian /zɔr'nɛriən/ was a country situated in the northern part of the central Continent, to the west of Tarnaria, with access to the Ge and Kost seas. It was a Yammoe puppet state, which it used in its fight for influence in the north against Darda.
Politically, Xornerian was a democracy, and for around a 100 years boasted a relatively high level of economic prosperity due to its location and natural resources. With time, however, the weakening quality of democracy and the growth of wealth inequality led to a number of riots, that eventually evolved into a civil war that ended up lasting for nearly a decade. The country was then subject to an aggressive conquest from Kareden armies, which, coupled with a betrayal from Yammoe, led to the country being conquered and becoming part of the Kingdom of Mamkoon.
