Obscurity Portal has two large categories: Strange Things and Normal Things. Everything on the website falls under one of these categories. For instance, xubus is clearly a Normal Thing.

There is a simple rule which defines which is which, as well as a specific property that is true of pages about Strange Things, but not about Normal Things.

Those who know the rule are eligible for an honorary title of Whatever and a level increment.
