Obscurity Portal has two large categories: Strange Things and Normal Things. Everything on the website falls under one of these categories. For instance, xubus is clearly a Normal Thing.

There is a simple rule which defines which is which, as well as a specific property that is true of pages about Strange Things, but not about Normal Things.

Those who know the rule are eligible for an honorary title of Whatever and an Obscurity Level increment.
