Perfectionist has been in the works since 2016 and has seen many iterations and versions. By 2019 I believe I have arrived at a workable variant, which I am now actively developing. However, as I have a day job and many other projects, I have to carefully prioritize features and make sure that each item adds significant value to the game.
In spite of my belief that this puzzle may go a long way, right now the interest towards it is quite low, and my marketing efforts rarely result in too many new players. Perfectionist is by far the most polished web game app that I have developed, so I am reluctant to put in even more work into it without getting a bigger audience. The game as it is right now is completely playable. The features listed here are additions that make sense only if the puzzle is truly interesting as a standalone piece, and are there to simply add a bit of personalized experience.
Find below the current prioritized list of features for Perfectionst. If you have ideas or feedback about Perfectionist, please contact me.
Current Roadmap
-
Make sure that not only can players watch the solution for yesterday's board, but also play it. - Access to already rated boards, meaning the one that someone has already completed, with a score filter. Say, access all boards with scores 10-15. Boards with scores 15-20, etc. It might also be a filter to indirectly hint at difficulty of boards. Boards with higher scores will tend to be either badly solved or very difficult to optimize.
- Additional interesting stats: the amount of attempts for the board, what score other players got, etc. There are some challenges there, like how to ensure the statistical endpoints are not abused.
