Just experimenting with a grid here. Currently what is going on is that cells are triggered randomly and each time a cell is activated - a 1 is added to its value. Colors simply show "level" gradation. After the cell reaches level 9, next time it is reverted back to 0. So this is just a skeleton of a possible cellular automation.
Time is the amount of triggers, efficiency is the number of yellowish cells.
